Product Details

• Volume: 40ml, unthinned
• Suggested thinning ratio: 1 part paint to 2–3 parts thinner
• Type: High-grit surfacer
• Use: Ideal for creating a more uniform surface sheen and finish before painting
• Finish: Roughly equivalent to a #1500 sanded surface

This high-grit surfacer helps even out the surface appearance of parts, making it useful as a fine finishing primer before applying paint. Paint also adheres better to primed surfaces than to unprimed plastic.

To preserve the primer’s surface texture, only sand primed surfaces with sandpaper finer than #1500.

Notes

• For best results, avoid applying surfacer or primer in high-humidity environments.
• Lower grit surfacers create a rougher finish with stronger coverage, requiring fewer coats to hide the underlayer.
• Higher grit surfacers create a finer finish with lighter coverage, usually requiring more coats to fully hide the underlayer.
