Product Details

• Type: Thinned surfacer in aerosol spray can
• Application: Shake well before use
• Spray distance: Hold the can approximately 20–25 cm from the part’s surface
• Finish: Roughly equivalent to a #1500 sanded surface

This aerosol surfacer comes pre-thinned and ready to spray, making it convenient for priming model kit parts before painting.

Black base coat is especially useful when applying thicker coats of lighter colours over top, or for parts with embedded lighting modules where a dark undercoat can help prevent light bleed.

To preserve the primer’s surface texture, only sand primed surfaces with sandpaper finer than #1500.

Notes

• For best results, avoid applying surfacer or primer in high-humidity environments.
• Lower grit surfacers create a rougher finish with stronger coverage, requiring fewer coats to hide the underlayer.
• Higher grit surfacers create a finer finish with lighter coverage, usually requiring more coats to fully hide the underlayer.
