Product Details

• Volume: 40ml, unthinned
• Suggested thinning ratio: 1 part paint to 2 parts thinner
• Type: Medium-grit primer surfacer
• Use: Ideal for spot-checking surfaces after scribing, sanding, and other surface customization work
• Finish: Roughly equivalent to a #1000 sanded surface

This primer surfacer can also be used as a pre-painting finishing layer, helping create an even base before applying colour coats.

To preserve the primer’s surface texture, only sand primed surfaces with sandpaper finer than #1000.

Notes

• Lower grit surfacers create a rougher finish with stronger coverage, requiring fewer coats to hide the underlayer.
• Higher grit surfacers create a finer finish with lighter coverage, usually requiring more coats to fully hide the underlayer.
• For best results, avoid applying surfacer or primer in high-humidity environments.

Primer Surfacer Note

• Primer Surfacer is generally described as having stronger adhesion to a wider range of materials, including resin, ABS, and metal.
• Based on our own testing on resin and plastic, we have not found a significant performance difference between “Primer Surfacer” and regular “Surfacer” on those materials. We are currently unsure how it performs on metal parts and ABS.
